How do I recover my password to sign in to this account. I have misplaced my book of passwords and can't sign in.

Unfortunately, if you do not have the password, the option is to reset the password by following the steps below:

Method 1. Recover a Microsoft account by resetting the password:

Method 2. If you cannot reset the password or are unable to verify the account, I recommend submitting a recovery form:

If this is a Microsoft account password, use the password reset flow:

On the sign-in page, select Forgotten your password?
If that page is no longer open, use Reset password, enter the account username, and select Next.
Choose where to receive the verification code.
Enter the requested email or phone details, then select Get code.
Enter the verification code.
Create a new password.

If no verification option is available, or the listed email/phone is no longer accessible, use the sign-in helper tool.

If signing in to Windows itself is the issue:

For a Microsoft account on the PC, use I forgot my password from the Windows sign-in screen.
For a PIN, use I forgot my PIN.
For a local account, use the local account password reset guidance.
