How can I extract a .dxf file that is embedded in a PowerPoint presentation?

I tried changing the file extension from .ppt to .zip, and the embedded .dxf does not appear in the folder structure.

I cannot click and drag the .dxf from the slide.

Double-clicking the .dxf file from the slide results in it displaying in a viewer, JT2Go.

Is there a way to extract this .dxf file in its native format?

    Based on your description, the DXF file appears to have been inserted as an object in PowerPoint. Depending on how it was inserted, it may be either linked to the original file or embedded within the presentation. 

    Step 1: Check whether the object is linked 

    Open the presentation in PowerPoint for Windows. 

    Select the DXF object on the slide. 

    Right click the object and look for options such as Open Link, Edit Link, or Links. 

    If one of these options is available, open the link and access the original DXF file from its source location. 

    If the object is linked, PowerPoint stores only a reference to the file and not the file itself. 

    Step 2: If the .DXF is embedded, try opening it from PowerPoint and saving from the source application 

    Double select the DXF object in Normal view. 

    Allow PowerPoint to open the object in its associated application, which appears to be JT2Go. 

    In JT2Go, look for a Save As or Export option. 

    If available, save the file as a DXF to a local folder. 

    If the object is embedded, the file is stored inside the presentation and may only be accessible through the application associated with it. 

    Please note that with the .ppt-to-.zip method, embedded OLE objects may not be displayed with their original file types, so a DXF file might not appear as a standard .dxf file. 

    If none of the above methods work and JT2Go doesn't provide an option to save or export the file, the most reliable solution may be to obtain the original DXF file from the person who inserted it into the presentation.
