Hi @Wendi Prince,

As I understand it, New Outlook for Windows does not support the COM/VSTO add-ins used by Classic Outlook. Instead, it supports Outlook web add-ins, which can be installed from Microsoft AppSource (Marketplace) or deployed by a Microsoft 365 administrator. Therefore, if only the legacy Zoom desktop plugin is installed, it will not appear in New Outlook.

If you have already installed the Zoom for Outlook Add-in that is supported in New Outlook, please note that the Zoom add-in is typically located under Apps within the meeting/event compose window. Therefore, you may want to check that location to see whether the Zoom add-in is available there.

Additionally, if you're using a work or school account, please confirm that the Zoom add-in has been allowed by your Microsoft 365 administrator, as add-ins can be restricted or blocked by organizational policies.

In Outlook, an add-in is working only if it is installed and visible in the place where that client shows add-ins.

For new Outlook for Windows:

  1. Open New Meeting or New Event.
  2. In the meeting window, look on the ribbon for the meeting provider add-in.
  3. If it is not directly visible, check Apps.

For classic Outlook:

  1. Open the meeting in a pop-up window. Add-ins for meetings are shown on the ribbon only there.
  2. Go to the Meeting tab.
  3. If the add-in is not visible, select All Apps.
  4. Make sure the Reading Pane is set to Right or Bottom, otherwise add-ins can be unavailable.

If the add-in was deployed by an admin, it should appear automatically on the read or compose surface where it is designed to work.

If the Zoom option still does not appear, one supported path is to use Outlook on the web and open the meeting there, then select the add-in from the ribbon.

For mobile Outlook, third-party online meeting creation requires a supported add-in installed to the Exchange mailbox by an IT administrator, and the account must be hosted on Microsoft 365.
