For Windows 11, Microsoft PowerToys includes Image Resizer, which can resize one or more .jpg files.
How to use it:
- Install PowerToys.
- In File Explorer, select one or more image files.
- Right-click the selection and choose Resize with ImageResizer.
- Pick a preset size, or configure custom width and height in Image Resizer settings.
What it supports:
- Bulk resizing from File Explorer
- Preset sizes or custom dimensions
- Fit, Fill, or Stretch modes
- Pixels, percent, inches, or centimeters
- Optional filename patterns for resized copies
Useful details:
- Fit keeps the whole image and does not crop.
- Fill keeps proportions but may crop.
- Stretch resizes without keeping proportions.
- Width or height can be left empty to keep the original aspect ratio.
If the goal is only to reduce picture size inside an Office document, Office also has Picture Format > Compress Pictures.
