How can I view the submission history of an assignment in Teams?

I accidentally undid the turn-in of an assignment that I had originally submitted before the due date. Because of this, I had to submit it again, and now the assignment is marked as Late. Is there a way to view the complete submission history, including the original turn-in date and time, so I can verify that the assignment was initially submitted on time?

    Teams shows the most recent turn-in timestamp on a completed assignment. In the Completed tab, the Turned in status displays the time and date stamp of the most recent turn-in.     Based on your description, unfortunately, there is no student-facing option to view the complete submission history, including all turn-in and undo turn-in events. However, educators can access additional assignment history information through the View History feature in Teams Assignments, which may show events such as:

    • Assignment assigned
    • Assignment viewed
    • Original turn-in
    • Grading activities

    Therefore, I recommend you contact your instructor and explain that the assignment was originally submitted before the deadline and was later unintentionally undone. Ask them to review the assignment's View History to verify the original submission timestamp. Microsoft documentation and moderator guidance indicate that instructors have access to more detailed submission records than students.

    However, there is currently no supported feature that allows teachers to view a complete timeline of student actions such as the exact Undo turn in time or all resubmission events from the student perspective.

    If you accidentally selected Undo turn in and submitted the assignment again, the assignment may be marked as Late based on the most recent submission time.
