Other features or issues related to Microsoft Partner Center
For a Rejected legal business profile in Partner Center, the supported next step is to correct the legal profile details in Partner Center and resubmit them.
- Sign in to Partner Center.
- Go to Settings > Account settings.
- Open Legal info or, in the new experience, Account management.
- Select the legal business profile for the CSP reseller or partner account.
- Select Update next to the company name or address.
- Correct the legal information so it matches the formal business registration records exactly. The company name should be free of spelling errors and abbreviations.
- Select Submit. The legal identity is reassessed only for the information that changed.
Important details for this scenario:
- If the verification state is Rejected, Partner Center indicates the verification could not be completed successfully.
- For a reseller enrolled in MAICPP and a CSP indirect reseller tenant, the documented action for Rejected status is to select Fix now on the Legal info page and update the legal profile information.
- For CSP indirect reseller accounts, only a Global admin can update the legal company name.
- If a Global Admin/Account Admin is unable to change the company name, create a support request and attach a HAR file/PSR showing the error.
- If the verification remains Pending for more than five business days, create a support request in Partner Center.
- The overall verification status can be checked on Account settings > Legal info. Detailed status is available through Verification Summary.
One limitation is documented: if this is a CSP partner account, the country/region associated with the legal address can't be changed because it is tied to the tenant, services, and billing currency.
