Remove Markup and Comments

I read Stefan Blom strategy to remove markup. On my version of Word, when Accept is clicked, All Changes and Stop Tracking does not appear. What should I do to remove Markup from my document?

On the Review tab, click the arrow on the Accept button (in the Changes group) and then click Accept All Changes and Stop Tracking.

If Accept All Changes and Stop Tracking is not available, use the supported alternatives that remove the markup itself:

    1. Go to Review > Tracking.
    2. Use Accept or Reject to remove changes:
      • Accept or Reject one change at a time, then continue through the document with Next or Previous.
      • Or open the Accept drop-down and choose Accept All Changes.
      • Or open the Reject drop-down and choose Reject All Changes.
    3. If Track Changes is still on, turn it off with Review > Track Changes > Off.
    4. If comments are still present, delete them. For modern comments, click the More thread actions () button on the comment and choose Delete comment.
    5. For a final check, run File > Info > Check for Issues > Inspect Document. Document Inspector can find tracked changes, comments, hidden text, and personal information.

Important: No Markup only hides the markup temporarily. It does not remove tracked changes from the document.

If the document is showing a right-side markup area or comment column, that space remains until tracked changes are accepted or rejected and comments are deleted.
