Unable to open a PPT even after having a licensed O365 office on my laptop

I have Licensed O365 for Family . Its installed on my laptop and my device is already available in the Devices tab under O365 Login. Why i am unable to open any PPT documents ? It doesnt trigger to launch PPT at all when i am clicking on a PPT . Any suggestions ?

Click your Start Button, then just type powerpoint and press Enter.

Does PowerPoint open correctly using that method or is there an error indicated?

If there is an error, please provide a screenshot of the error.

If PowerPoint opens correctly using that method, find a PowerPoint file, right click it and select Properties.

On the resulting properties dialog, click the 'Change' button, then in the resulting list, choose PowerPoint too pen the file.

Does the file then open correctly.

Thank you for the screenshots and that information.

It seems the file associations for the PowerPoint app are incorrect.

Before performing this process, please log into your Microsoft account on this link (https://account.microsoft.com/services/) and check to ensure your Office licence or Microsoft 365 subscription is listed correctly on your account.

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to Apps, then scroll down to find Microsoft Office

Select that and choose Modify - Online Repair

That should fix any issues with your Office Installation.
