My question is that in New Outlook, I cannot find a way to permanently turn off the Reading Pane. The 1st tier Assistant said under the View/Reading Pane button, I should use the OFF button. Unfortunately, there is no OFF button under View/Reading Pane. I get five choices under View/Reading Pane and none of them is OFF. The 1st tier Assistant moved me to the 2nd tier Assistant. The 2nd tier assistant says he can't support Windows 10; however, my question is about New Outlook Mail for which I have a paid subscription, not Windows 10. I cannot go to Windows 11 because my computer cannot support Windows 11. He hung up before I could explain that to him.

Can anyone help me get rid of Reading Pane permanently in New Outlook?

The Microsoft AI told me to go Settings/Mail/Reading Pane and select Hide. There is no Hide or Off button there.

Still need help getting rid of Reading Pane permanently in New Outlook?
