Windows 11 - Explorer

In the new version of Windows 11, for some unknown reason, the word "Explorer" appeared next to the folder name. What is this for and how can I remove it? Not only is it incredibly visually annoying, but it also makes the folder name line larger in the taskbar!!! Why doesn't every update make it easier to use, but instead complicates it and makes it incredibly inconvenient without the ability to personalize it?!

    Hi Анжелика Курмаз,

    I understand how frustrating it can be when a Windows update changes the File Explorer interface and affects the way folder names are displayed.

    As a first step, please try:

    1. Restart File Explorer
      • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
      • Right-click Windows Explorer and select Restart.
    2. Check File Explorer Options
      • Open File Explorer and select... > Options > View.
      • Enable Display the full path in the title bar, then select Apply and OK.

    If the issue persists, could you share a screenshot of the issue and your Windows version/build number? You can obtain it by pressing Windows + R, typing winver and sharing the information shown in the window.
