How to bypass OneNote printer and make my HP 2540 my default printer

When I attempt to print anything the OneNote 16 printer is my only option. I need to make HP 2540 printer that is installed on my computer my default printer

OneNote 16 is only a virtual printer, so the main issue is getting Windows to recognize your HP 2540 as an available printer.

Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

  1. Do you see the HP 2540 listed there?
  2. If yes, select it and check whether you can print a test page.
  3. Also turn off "Let Windows manage my default printer", then select the HP 2540 and choose "Set as default."

OneNote 16 is a virtual printer. To make the HP 2540 the default printer in Windows:
