Hi Microsoft for Startups Team,

I’m currently enrolled in the Microsoft for Startups program and would like to request the next level of Azure credits based on our usage milestones.

According to the eligibility requirements mentioned in the Microsoft for Startups documentation (aka.ms/startuphelp-get-more-self-serve), we have now used 5 Azure workloads for more than 60 days, which makes us eligible for the $25,000 Azure credit milestone.

We initially received $5,000 in Azure credits, of which approximately $1,500 remains. During the early stage, our development team was still getting familiar with cloud infrastructure and Azure, so a significant amount of time was spent learning, setting up, testing, and optimizing our architecture. As our team became more comfortable with Azure, we started running more substantial workloads and building out our infrastructure more seriously.

We are now actively using Azure for our development and infrastructure and expect our usage to increase as we move further into development, testing, and deployment.

Could you please review our account and help us access the $25,000 Azure credit milestone based on our completed usage requirements?

We’d be happy to provide any additional information, usage details, or documentation required for verification.

Thank you for supporting us through the Microsoft for Startups program. We’re excited to continue building on Azure.

Best regards,
Garvit Arora

The $25,000 milestone is not requested manually through a separate application. Credit progression is automatic when the account meets the milestone requirements.

For the $25,000 milestone, the documented requirement is:

    1. Use 5 or more Azure workloads
    2. Over a sustained period of about 60 days

Progress is evaluated based on recent activity and sustained usage patterns, not one-time spikes. Once the requirement is met, the credit limit is automatically increased. Startups can also qualify for higher milestones directly without moving sequentially through every stage.

If the account appears to meet the requirement but the credit increase has not appeared yet, the supported next step is to contact Microsoft for Startups Program Support for a program or credit review. Program Support covers:

    • application and approval status
    • Azure Sponsorship and credit activation issues
    • credit expiration or usage questions
    • business or domain verification

Support options documented for Microsoft for Startups are:

    1. In the Azure Portal after approval, submit a program support request.
    2. For application or program questions, use https://aka.ms/startuphelp-mfs-portal.
    3. For Azure account or technical issues, submit a support request through the Azure Portal.

Relevant account checks before support review:

    • Ensure business verification is completed, since progression is based in part on business verification, especially in earlier stages.
    • Review credit balance and usage in the Azure Portal or Microsoft for Startups experience.

A concise support request can state:

    • current credit tier: $5,000
    • observed usage: 5+ Azure workloads for ~60 days
    • request: review for automatic progression to the $25,000 milestone
    • ask support to verify whether any business verification or program eligibility item is still pending
