Hi 清玄散人,
Before moving on to more advanced troubleshooting, I recommend giving the AI Answer's suggestions a try to see whether any of those steps help resolve the sign-in error.
If the issue persists, please test with a new Windows user profile:
- Open Settings > Accounts > Family & other users.
- Under Other users, select Add someone else to this PC.
- Choose I don't have this person's sign-in information > Add a user without a Microsoft account.
- Create a temporary local account and complete the setup.
- Sign out of your current account and sign in to the new profile.
- Open the Microsoft Store and Xbox app, sign in with the same Microsoft account, and check whether the error still occurs.
If sign-in works in the new profile, the issue is likely related to the original Windows user profile. If the same error occurs in the new profile, I highly recommend performing an in-place repair upgrade of Windows 10 to repair Windows components that may be affecting Microsoft account authentication.
Please also note that Windows 10 reached end of support on October 14, 2025. As a result, Microsoft no longer provides free security updates, bug fixes or technical support for Windows 10. If your device is eligible, I recommend upgrading to Windows 11.
Please keep me updated on the outcome and I'll be happy to continue assisting.
