Using a new font family Segoe is giving an error when saving

Our company just relaunched our brand and is using the Segoe Family of fonts. I am a Windows 11 / 365 user. The Segoe fonts are available when I am building presentations; however, when I save the deck, I get an error that says, "Some of your fonts cannot be saved with the presentation." Can you advise how to correct this?

After doing some research, the error "Some of your fonts cannot be saved with the presentation" typically occurs when PowerPoint is unable to embed one or more fonts used in the presentation. This can be caused by font embedding restrictions, a corrupted slide, or content imported from other sources that contains unsupported fonts.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1/Check if font embedding is enabled

Open the presentation in PowerPoint.
Go to File > Options > Save.
Under Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation, select Embed fonts in the file.
Choose Embed all characters (best for editing by other people).
Save the presentation again.

2/If font embedding is enabled, try Save as > Browse > Tools button > Save options > Embed fonts to Off.

3/Check for a problematic slide

Create a new blank presentation.
Copy slides from the original presentation into the new file one at a time, saving after each addition.
If the error appears after adding a particular slide, review that slide for unusual fonts, charts, or imported content. I know this will be a lot of work if the presentation has many slides, however, this is the most effective way to track which slide is having a problem.

If the issue continues after completing the steps above, please let me know which specific Segoe font variant is being used and whether the issue occurs in a brand-new presentation. This will help determine whether the font itself has embedding restrictions.

On Windows 11 with Microsoft 365, the most likely cause is that the specific Segoe font variant in the presentation is not being embedded, even though it is available for editing on the PC.

Use this check-and-fix path:

In PowerPoint, go to File > Options > Save.
Under Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation, turn on Embed fonts in the file.
Prefer Embed all characters rather than embedding only the characters used. This is better if the file will be edited by others.
Save the presentation again.

If the error still appears, check whether the font is embeddable in Windows:

Open Control Panel > Fonts.
Select the Segoe font being used.
Check the Font embeddability setting.

Not all TrueType fonts can be embedded. Font creators can mark fonts as Non-embeddable, Preview/Print, Editable, or Installable. If the font is not embeddable, PowerPoint can use it for authoring but cannot save it into the presentation file.

Also note:

Office cloud fonts usually do not need embedding because they download automatically when needed.
If the presentation uses a font that other devices do not have, those devices may show a substitute font unless the font can be embedded.
Segoe UI is supplied by Windows and is also available within Office applications.
