Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hi @GraemeG-3877,
Thank you for providing those details. I understand the user is receiving the "Something went wrong - Repeating redirects detected" message when trying to accept the Microsoft 365 invitation and sign in.
To help narrow down the cause, could you please provide a bit more information?
- Does the issue occur in multiple web browsers (for example, Edge, Chrome, Firefox), or only one browser?
- Has the user tried using an InPrivate/Incognito window?
- Does the same error occur on a different device, such as another computer or a mobile phone?
- When the user signs in directly at https://www.office.com, do they receive the same error?
As an additional test, could the user try signing in directly to Microsoft 365 instead of using the invitation email link?
- Open a browser and go to https://www.office.com.
- Select Sign in.
- Enter the Microsoft 365 Business account email address and password that was assigned to the license.
- If sign-in is successful, look for the Install apps button in the upper-right corner.
- Select Install apps > Microsoft 365 apps to download and install Office.
Please let us know whether the user can successfully sign in to Office.com, or if the same "Repeating redirects detected" error appears there as well. This will help determine whether the issue is related to the invitation link itself or to the account sign-in process in general.
Thank you again for your time and understanding. I really appreciate your patience, and I'm here to help. Looking forward to your response.
