- Reset the Microsoft Store cache.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
- A blank Command Prompt window opens, then closes after about 10 seconds, and Microsoft Store should open automatically.
- Restart the PC.
- If Windows was recently updated, a restart may be required before Store apps can install.
- Check common reasons the app does not appear or install.
- The app may not be available in the current country or region.
- Family settings may be hiding apps.
- The app may no longer be available in Microsoft Store.
- The app may not be compatible with the device.
- The PC may not be authorized for Microsoft Store apps; sign in to Store with the Microsoft account used for the device.
- If Microsoft Store is installed but not working correctly, verify that it is registered for the user account.
- Open a non-elevated PowerShell window and run:
Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.WindowsStore* - If Microsoft Store is not installed for the user, check whether the package exists for other users by running this in an elevated PowerShell window:
Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.WindowsStore* -AllUsers - If the package exists, register it for the user with:
Add-AppxPackage -RegisterByFamilyName -MainPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe - Important: do not use an elevated PowerShell window for the final registration command unless the goal is to register the app to the administrator instead of the user.
- Open a non-elevated PowerShell window and run:
- If the error says the app has been blocked by the system administrator, AppLocker policy is blocking Microsoft Store apps.
- A domain administrator must edit the AppLocker policy to allow all Microsoft Store apps or allow specific apps.

- 0x80004004 when pausing a download: install update rollup 2883201.
- 0x80246007 after clicking Try again: install update rollup 2962407.
Note: completely uninstalling Microsoft Store is not supported.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Before we proceed, may I know if the full message of the error to check for you? Please remember to remove all personal information before posting.
Additionally, please try to check those information.
- Go to Settings > Time & language > Date and time.
- Make sure date and time are correct.
- Make sure "Set time automatically" in enabled.
- Select "Sync now".
That being said, since Windows 8 has reached end of support, further updates will not be offered for this version, and repair files is no longer available. So if you have the chance, please update to Windows 10.
I'm waiting for your reply.
