Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Use Microsoft for Startups Program Support. Verification and benefit redemption issues are in scope, but the portal does not provide the specific rejection reason in the generic verification message.
Two supported ways to submit the request are documented, depending on the program experience:
- In the Azure portal:
- Go to the Azure portal
- Navigate to the startup homepage
- In Overview, find Your Microsoft Team
- Select Get program support
- In the Microsoft for Startups Portal:
- Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Portal
- Select the ? icon in the top-right
- Select Submit a Support Ticket
- Attach relevant documents or screenshots of the verification error
Include these details in the ticket to help support review the case faster:
- Screenshot of the verification failure message
- Company registration details
- Any documents that support eligibility or verification
- A request for clarification on why the company could not be verified
Program Support handles:
- Program onboarding
- Azure credit activation
- Benefit redemption
- Billing profile issues
- Entitlement corrections
- Portal access problems
If the issue is an Azure service outage, production debugging, architecture design, or performance tuning, that is out of scope for Program Support and requires standard Azure Support.
