My problem:

Not only after installing KB5101684 on my laptop, file history timestamps fail to sync correctly, but even after installing KB5120249 on my desktop, file history timestamps fail to sync correctly.

I don't know what Microsoft is doing? It's so frustrating!

Please, Microsoft, fix this quickly!

I understand your frustration. Since the same File History timestamp issue appeared on two different PCs after KB5101684 and KB5120249, this may be related to a recent Windows update rather than your local configuration.

I recommend reporting it through Feedback Hub and including both KB numbers and screenshots/logs. Microsoft engineers need these reports to investigate and release a fix.

For now, I would not repeatedly reset File History if your backups are still accessible.
