Hello,

My Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate (MB-820) certification expired on August 3, 2026.

I missed the renewal assessment deadline and would like to contact Microsoft Credentials Support to confirm my options.

However, when I use the official Microsoft Credentials Support link, it redirects me to Microsoft Engage Center. The page shows “Engage Center | No Access”, and I cannot create or submit a support request.

I am using the Microsoft account associated with my Microsoft Learn certification profile.

Could someone please advise how I can contact the Credentials Support team, or escalate this issue to them?

I would specifically like to know whether there is any possibility of restoring access to the MB-820 renewal assessment, or whether I must retake the full MB-820 exam.

Thank you

The renewal period is open for 180 days before your expiry date. The renewal window cannot be extended or reopened. There are no exceptions.

My certification expired. What happens now? If your certification expires, you must earn the certification again by passing the required exam(s).

Retaking the exam is your only option.

For Microsoft Certification issues, the supported path is Credentials Support. If the standard support flow redirects to Engage Center and shows “No Access”, use the direct support request entry that has been shared in Microsoft Q&A:

For renewal-specific issues, Microsoft’s certification support page also states that all other Microsoft Certification issues should go through Credentials Support.

For the expired MB-820 renewal question itself, the available context does not provide a policy that allows reopening a missed renewal window. It does show that score challenges must be submitted within 15 days, but that is a different process than restoring renewal access.

    The practical next step is:

    1. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the Learn certification profile.
    2. Open the direct support request page above.
    3. Submit the case as a Microsoft Certification / Credentials Support issue.
    4. In the case details, include:
      • certification name: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate
      • exam: MB-820
      • expiration date: August 3, 2026
      • that the normal Credentials Support link redirects to Engage Center | No Access
      • that the account is the same one linked to the Learn profile
      • the request: confirmation whether renewal access can be restored or whether the full exam must be retaken

If the direct page still fails, use the main Credentials Support page and file a ticket there when prompted by the support flow.
