Hi everyone, I'm trying to stop the Rewards or Defer it or something. The reason is because I got this notice. I went to co-pilot to stop the rewards or turn it off, and the answer wasn't correct. It said to go to Earn Rewards and toggle off. I couldn't find Earn Rewards in Bing/Microsoft Rewards. Can someone tell me how to stop or defer earning rewards. I hardly use it.

Dear Lianna
You have a remaining balance in your Microsoft Cashback account. Because your account has been inactive for more than five months, meaning you have not earned or redeemed Microsoft Cashback, this is a one-time notice that a monthly account maintenance fee of $5.00 (or local currency equivalent) will be deducted from your remaining balance 30 days from the date of this notice, as described in the Terms of Use. Monthly fees will continue until your balance reaches zero or you use your account again.
To avoid these fees, sign in to your Microsoft Cashback account and either earn more cashback or redeem your available balance.

To stop Microsoft Rewards participation entirely, use the opt-out page: Opt out.

Important: opting out immediately causes loss of all available Microsoft Rewards points, so redeem points first if needed.

If the goal is only to stop Rewards activity in Microsoft Edge, turn off the Edge Rewards experience:

  1. In Microsoft Edge, open Settings and more > Settings > Profiles.
  2. Select Microsoft Rewards.
  3. Turn off Earn Microsoft Rewards in Microsoft Edge.

There is no supported “defer” option shown in the available Microsoft Rewards guidance. The documented choices are to opt out of the program entirely, or in Edge, turn off earning in Microsoft Edge.
