Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
If the device only has new Outlook, classic Outlook can be installed separately.
- Open the classic Outlook install page.
- In Select a language and download classic Outlook, choose the required language.
- Select Download and follow the prompts to complete installation.
- After installation, open classic Outlook and sign in or set up the email account.
If a new Windows device shows an error such as “We couldn't verify and install this because it is not available in the Microsoft Store. To install, download it from the publisher's website”, use the download option from the support article instead.
If using a work or school account and installation fails, contact the organization IT admin. For a home Microsoft 365 subscription, classic Outlook is available through the install page.
