A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
If this is Windows 365 Link, use the built-in sign-in and recovery paths first:
- Power on the Windows 365 Link and sign in with the credentials required by the organization.
- If more than one Cloud PC is assigned, use Connection Center to choose the Cloud PC and troubleshoot connection errors.
- If the device appears locked, authenticate again at the Sign in screen. A locked Windows 365 Link keeps the Cloud PC connection until the idle timeout expires, which defaults to 15 minutes unless changed by an Intune admin.
- If another person signed in on the same Windows 365 Link, the previous Cloud PC session is automatically disconnected.
If the problem is in the Windows 365 app on Windows:
- Confirm the correct account is signed in. If no Cloud PCs appear, the app might be signed in with the wrong account. The account must be enrolled with the Microsoft Entra account that has Cloud PCs provisioned.
- If Can't connect to Cloud PC appears, go to Settings > Apps > Default apps, find AVD host app, and set it as the default app for
.avdfiles. - Then clear the old Remote Desktop client cache with this command:
reg delete "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\progF3672D4C2FFE4422A53C78C345774E2D" /f
Warning: this command deletes a registry entry for the old client cache.
If sign-in succeeds but connection still fails on Windows 365 Link, an admin might need to review Conditional Access. Mismatched or unsupported access controls between the sign-in stage and connection stage can cause authentication failures such as interactive window errors.
If self-service steps do not restore access, open a support ticket through Microsoft Intune support. Windows 365 support is included with the subscription.
