I am trying to invite my husband to our 365 Family account with plenty of slots open, good emails, etc. But it is still pending after hours of waiting.

    Hello Rebecca Markley

I understand you have already verified the invitation details and completed the Get Started and Join now steps, but the process ends with “Sorry, something went wrong.” The subscription dashboard will remain pending until the invitee successfully joins the family group.

Since the usual checks have already been completed, this appears to require an account-level investigation. This community cannot access subscription records or complete the invitation on your behalf. please contact Microsoft Support for further assistance:

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

When contact support, . Include the exact error message and explain that the invitation remains pending after Join now.

I hope support can help you complete the invitation without putting you through the same troubleshooting again.

    Have a nice day.

I have done all of these things. Invite (to proper email) has been accepted (Get Started & Join Now), but the acceptance is not completed. I spent hours on this with co-pilot. We checked out everything, and the invite had been sent properly, but went to a Sorry, Something went wrong page. Since there was no error on my part, co-pilot said that it was something internal to Microsoft 365 sharing process and I agree. The Join Now step has not reached its completion, but not because we didn't try. When we finally saw that there were others experiencing this problem, we stopped working on it, hoping time will work it out - give you a chance to fix it. We are traveling tomorrow and unavailable to work on this, but you have all the information if you would like to make this happen. If your answer covers all the bases, at least the ones the user has access to, then so have I and it appears that the problem is on your end. I do hope you will fix this without asking me to check the email addresses, that the invitee clicked Join Now, etc., because we have done it all. I will look for a response later in the day tomorrow. thank you.
