I'm getting billed $25.40 every month for a duplicate xbox game pass account that I cannot locate...I was able to find the charge to my card ending in [moderator's note: PII removed] using the Investigate function under payments, but I cannot locate the account

    1. Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard and use Investigate for the card ending in 5633. That is the correct path for finding charges tied to a payment method.
    2. Check Order history on each Microsoft account that may have been used before. On the order history page, review the date range since May 2025 and look for charges with status Completed or Redeemed.
    3. If the charge does not appear in the current account’s order history, the charge may be tied to:
      • a different Microsoft account,
      • a family member using the same card,
      • recurring billing on another subscription account.
    4. Check all email accounts for Microsoft receipts or purchase confirmations. Also check Xbox accounts/gamertags that may have been created with a different email address.
    5. If the account still cannot be identified after using Investigate and checking order history and email receipts, contact Microsoft Support for billing help.
    6. If the charge cannot be found in any Microsoft account, contact the card issuer to dispute the charge. If the card was used without consent, the bank’s dispute process is the correct path.

A charge that looks like a duplicate can also happen when:

    • recurring billing is enabled on a subscription,
    • a previously declined payment is charged again,
    • another account using the same card is being billed.
