    I am experiencing an issue with Azure App Service Managed Certificates for the custom domain transfer.sundance-inc.net hosted on the App Service sundancetransfer in resource group Sundance_Group.

    When attempting to create an App Service Managed Certificate, Azure returns the following error:

    Failed to create App Service Managed Certificate. Properties.CanonicalName is invalid. Found a duplicate certificate with transfer.sundance-inc.net available or in pending issued under serverFarmId ...

    Troubleshooting completed so far:

    • Verified the custom domain is bound to the App Service.
    • Removed and recreated the custom domain binding.
    • Confirmed the hostname appears in HostNameSslStates.
    • Checked visible TLS/SSL certificates in the portal.
    • Searched for certificate resources in the resource group and subscription.
    • Waited several hours for certificate issuance to complete.
    • The error continues to reference a duplicate or pending certificate that is not visible in the portal.
