Unable to insert special characters (Ḍḍ, Ẓẓ, Ṭṭ, Ṣṣ) in Microsoft Word

The characters you mentioned, such as Ḍ, ḍ, Ẓ, ẓ, Ṭ, ṭ, Ṣ, and ṣ, are Unicode characters. They do not usually need to be installed separately into Microsoft Word. If they are not appearing in the Symbols or Special Characters list, it is often related to the font being used, as some fonts may not support those specific characters. 

Here are some steps you can try: 

1. Open Microsoft Word. 
2. Go to Insert > Symbol > More Symbols. 
3. 
4. In the Font dropdown, try selecting a commonly supported Unicode font such as: 
   • Calibri 
   • Arial 
   • Times New Roman 
   • Segoe UI Symbol 
5. Look for the required characters and insert them into your document.

For frequent use, you may also create AutoCorrect entries or assign shortcut keys in Word: 

• Go to File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options

• Add a shortcut text, such as .d, and set it to be replaced with ḍ 
• Repeat this for the other characters you use often

Insert > Symbol > More Symbols > select the character > Shortcut Key 

If the characters still do not display correctly, please try changing the document font to one that supports Unicode characters. If the character appears as a square box, it usually means the selected font does not support that character.
