Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
The error means the recipient domain does not exist in DNS.
554 5.4.0 ... 550 5.4.310 DNS domain [ordertomail.net] does not exist [Message=InfoDomainNonexistent]
In practice, Outlook.com tried to deliver the message, but the destination domain ordertomail.net could not be found. That usually means one of these:
- The reply address contains a typo.
- The company is using an old or invalid reply address.
- The recipient’s mail domain is no longer registered or is misconfigured.
What to do:
- Check the reply address carefully for spelling mistakes.
- Delete the saved address from Auto-Complete and type it again manually.
- If the address came from a company message, contact the company another way and ask whether that reply address is still valid.
- If they provide a different address, resend to that address.
This is not caused by the Outlook.com sending service on the sender side. The failure is on the recipient address/domain side.
