Microsoft for Startups verification failed – Get Program Support option missing

I am enrolled in Microsoft for Startups and currently have the $1,000 Azure credit offer.

I completed business verification to unlock the next credit milestone, but the portal now displays:

“We couldn’t verify your startup.”

No reason for the rejection is provided, and there is no option to upload supporting documentation or request another review.

My Microsoft for Startups page also does not contain the documented Your Microsoft Team → Get program support option. I checked Azure Help + Support as well, but Microsoft for Startups is not available in the service selector.

My startup is Arise Labs, a registered Indian proprietorship in Telangana. I have an official Government of India Udyam Registration Certificate and supporting registration documentation. The company develops and owns software products and is not a consultancy or agency.

Could a Microsoft moderator please help escalate this to Microsoft for Startups Program Support / Verification for manual review and advise how I can securely provide my business documents?

I can provide my Azure subscription ID, account information, Udyam certificate, and screenshots privately if required.

Hello @imran akhtar

Since you already received the initial $1,000 Startup credit and the failure occurred specifically during business verification for the next milestone, this should normally be handled by Microsoft for Startups Program Support, not standard Azure technical support. Microsoft confirms that business verification is required for progression to the $5,000 milestone.

The documented support path is:

Azure Portal → Microsoft for Startups → Overview → Your Microsoft Team → Get program support

Microsoft specifically lists program/application and verification-related issues as within Program Support's scope.

However, your case has an additional problem: the “Get program support” option itself is missing. Similar cases have been reported where verification failed and the portal didn't expose either an appeal/document-upload mechanism or the documented support option.

Since you've also confirmed that Microsoft for Startups isn't available through the normal Azure Help + Support service selector, there doesn't appear to be another self-service path available from your account.

At this point, I would request moderator assistance:

Microsoft moderator Norah-L: Could you please help route this case to the Microsoft for Startups Program Support / Verification team? The customer cannot use the documented support path because the Your Microsoft Team → Get program support option isn't present.

Imran, keep your Udyam Registration Certificate and other business documentation ready, but don't post them here. Also don't publicly share your Subscription ID, Tenant ID, registration numbers, or other account identifiers. Provide them only through a private channel if requested by Microsoft staff.

The Program Support team will need to determine whether the verification can be manually reviewed, reopened, or resubmitted; that's not something the Q&A community can change from the public forum.

Please "Accept the Answer" if this information helped you. This will help us and others in the community as well.
