    Hi, Shade Agoro

The iCloud email address working does not confirm that the Microsoft account is signing in correctly. The blank page may also occur when Safari blocks cookies or other content needed to finish authentication.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

In Settings > Safari > Advanced, make sure Block All Cookies is turned off. Also temporarily disable any Safari extensions or content blockers. Blocking cookies can prevent a website from completing sign-in even when the password and verification are accepted.

Reset the saved Microsoft sign-in details. Open Settings, select Outlook, Excel, or another affected Microsoft app, choose Reset, and enable Delete Login Credentials. Close the app completely, reopen it, and sign in again.

Confirm which account owns the Microsoft services. An iCloud address can be used as a Microsoft account username, but it can also be only an Apple mailbox. On another device, try signing in with that exact address at the Microsoft account website. If it is not recognized, use the actual Microsoft account associated with OneDrive.

For the spreadsheet, avoid the OneDrive link temporarily. In Apple Mail, press and hold the attachment, select Share > Save to Files, then open the saved copy directly in Excel.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.

For an older iPad, the most likely causes here are outdated authentication support in Safari or the app, or a current Outlook service issue.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Update the Microsoft app first If recurring sign-in prompts or failed sign-in started recently, install the latest Outlook app version. Updated security standards can block older app builds.
    2. If using Apple Mail or adding the account through iPad mail settings, remove and re-add it as Outlook.com
      • Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.
      • Select the Outlook/Hotmail account and remove it.
      • Go back to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
      • Choose Outlook.com. This is important because Apple Mail supports OAuth when the account is added as Outlook.com. If it was configured another way, it can fail with password prompts or connection errors.
    3. If re-adding does not fix it, clear Safari data and restart the iPad
      • Remove the account again.
      • Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.
      • Reboot the iPad.
      • Add the account back and complete the Outlook.com sign-in flow. This is especially relevant because Safari is also showing a blank screen.
    4. If Outlook on the web in Safari and Microsoft apps both still fail, check for a service outage There are documented cases where users cannot access Outlook.com using any connection method, including Outlook.com, Outlook mobile, and Outlook desktop. In that case, waiting for service restoration is required.
    5. For the Excel/OneDrive blank screen Since opening the spreadsheet in Safari also shows a blank screen, the browser session on the iPad may be part of the problem. Clearing Safari history and website data, then restarting the device, is the supported next step from the available guidance.
    6. If the account is a Microsoft personal account and sign-in still fails in Outlook mobile Use the Microsoft sign-in helper tool to check the account state and get guided remediation.
    7. If the account being added is an iCloud account inside Outlook Microsoft does not provide sign-in troubleshooting for non-Microsoft accounts such as iCloud. In that case, support must come from the email provider.

If the iPad is too old to run current app versions, Safari and Microsoft apps may continue to fail modern sign-in flows. In that case, using a newer supported device is the practical path.
