Blocked from Accessing Microsoft Copilot

Hello,

I’m currently unable to access Microsoft Copilot. When I try to use the service, I receive a Cloudflare security page stating that I have been blocked because an action I performed triggered the site’s security system.

Before I was blocked, I was working on a RWBY alternate-universe fanfiction project for Wattpad. I was using Copilot to help me research and discuss details about the canon RWBY series, specifically asking a question about a set of characters and how they interacted with one another as students, friends, and teammates.

To my own knowledge, I was not attempting to perform any unusual actions, access restricted information, or submit malicious content. I was simply using Copilot for creative writing and research related to my fanfiction project.

The error page says that my action may have triggered the security system and provides a Cloudflare Ray ID. I have attached a screenshot of the error page for reference.

Could you please help me determine why my access to Copilot was blocked and how I can regain access to the service? If the block was triggered accidentally by the security system, I would appreciate having the restriction reviewed.

Thank you for your assistance.

PROBLEM RESOLVED

UPDATE/SOLUTION: I was able to fix the issue! 🎉 I went ahead and asked Chat about some solutions, and followed one of the troubleshooting suggestions—to open Copilot in an Edge InPrivate window (Ctrl + Shift + N), and Copilot immediately worked normally there!

That means the problem wasn't necessarily my Microsoft account—it was most likely something in my regular Edge browsing session, such as cached site data, cookies, or an extension interfering with the request. Possibly turning off my secure VPN might have helped, too.

Regardless, I can now use Copilot in Edge again.

Can't believe it was ChatGPT that helped me troubleshoot this 😂💖 It was such a relief to find out I wasn't actually locked out of my account 🌻👍
