    English-only support.

To read Outlook email in French, use Immersive Reader and set translation to French:

    1. Open the email.
    2. Select View > Immersive Reader.
    3. Select Reading Preference in the top-right.
    4. Under Translate, select Choose a language and choose French.
    5. Turn on Document to translate the full email into French, or turn on By word to keep the original text and translate selected words.
    6. Press the Play button at the bottom to have it read aloud.

If Read Aloud is not available:

    • Make sure the account is signed in to Microsoft 365.
    • Restart Outlook, or sign out and sign back in.

For Outlook message translation, Outlook can also translate full messages:

    • In the message, select Translate message.
    • Or use Home > Translate > Translate Message.
    • To change preferences, use Home > Translate > Translation Preferences.

    Hello, michel Calac.

If you’re referring to the resources on Microsoft’s website pages, then at the bottom of almost every page there’s a choice of the preferred language:

    User's image

Click on the globe icon, and a page with options will open.
