Copilot in SharePoint has per-user daily and weekly usage limits during preview. Those limits are individual, not shared across the organization, and when the limit is reached, Copilot features are temporarily unavailable until the limit resets automatically in SharePoint.

There is no user configuration to increase the prompt limit for Copilot in SharePoint. Microsoft manages the service limits and might adjust them over time as usage patterns are monitored. Microsoft is also working on options for users who need additional capacity.

If the issue is specifically with SharePoint agents, the supported limit in the available documentation is up to 20 source items for an agent’s knowledge source. That affects agent configuration, not the number of prompts.

    Hello @Ishaan Dhanak

In this case, you mentioned that you have the highest Copilot subscription available, but when using Copilot in SharePoint you received a message indicating that you have reached your prompt allowance. Therefore, you would like to know whether there is a way to increase the number of prompts available beyond what you currently have.

To confirm the situation and suggest the troubleshooting steps in the right direction, may I confirm a few points:

    • Are you using a Microsoft 365 Copilot license for work/school, or a Microsoft Copilot Pro subscription?
    • Does the message appear in SharePoint pages, SharePoint Agents, or another Copilot experience connected to SharePoint?
    • What is the exact wording of the message?
    • Are other users in your organization seeing the same message?
    • Are you the global admin of this tenant?

Besides, if you have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and want to have a direct check, you can also contact Microsoft Support directly. This will allow the issue to be reviewed by the appropriate Microsoft support team.

Please follow the detailed steps below.

(If you are not the global admin, please kindly ask your IT Admin to do it for you)
