Hello Team,

We are monitoring Teams room devices in our tenant using Teams Pro portal. Microsoft Teams Room update is pushed from MS on pro portal and they get installed on devices on the basis of rings. It usually updates the Teams app version but sometimes updates windows version as well like in this recently released update.5.6.210.0 (8/3/2026)

Introduced in this update:

  • Support for Windows 25H2: Once this Teams app update is installed, devices running Windows 11 will automatically update to Windows 11 25H2 within approximately 1 week.

We usually pause this update once it rolls out in our tenant and test it on our test devices then resume it on rest of the devices. Now the issue is usually its released in the gap of 4 months but it also gets released when their is any bug in previous update and it has to be fixed. Is there a way in which we can get a notification about this release of new update over email or something so that we are aware and we can manage it accordingly. We cant monitor Pro portal 24*7 so it will be helpful if we can get a notification. I cant find any such option from Pro portal.

My second question is also about Teams pro portal. We usually export the list of Teams room devices from portal, is there a way in which we can get this report over email with health status using automation or something. I tried researching my bit but couldn't find anything relevant.

Hi,

For your first question, Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal currently provides update management through Updates > Updates, where you can view applicable updates and control their deployment through update rings. You can also use the Include past updates option to review previous updates.

For newly released Teams Rooms versions, Microsoft also maintains the official Teams Rooms release notes, which include the version history and details of new features and fixes:

However, I couldn’t find a documented option in the Pro Management Portal to send an email notification specifically when a new Teams Rooms app update becomes available. Therefore, at this time, the release notes appear to be the appropriate way to monitor new Teams Rooms releases outside the portal.

For your second question, the Pro Management Portal does provide health and usage reports under Reports, including a Health report showing the health status of your rooms.

The portal also provides export capabilities for certain report data. For example, ticket history can be exported as JSON and imported into Power BI for further analysis.

If your goal is to build an automated notification workflow, the Pro Management Portal now also supports Incident Notification Webhook Integration. It can send incident notifications to an HTTPS endpoint, where the data can then be processed by your own workflow or ITSM solution.

That said, this webhook is designed for incident notifications, rather than sending a scheduled copy of the complete Health report by email.

So, for a scheduled email containing the full room health report, I couldn’t find a currently documented built-in option in the Pro Management Portal. You may need to use the available report/export capabilities together with an automation workflow, depending on the exact data you need in the email.

I hope this helps clarify the current capabilities of the Pro Management Portal.
