Calendar not accepting new entries. I type in event and it does not show even while typing. Sometimes it shows up the next day. But a reminder popped up about an event that was not visible.

Hello Linwood Gilbert,

I understand that the event text becomes invisible when the calendar block turns dark blue, although reminders still appear for those events.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your account or inspect Outlook directly.

This may be a display or color-contrast issue rather than Outlook rejecting the entries. Please try the following:

  1. In new Outlook, select Settings > General > Appearance, choose a standard light theme, and temporarily turn off dark mode.
  2. In Calendar, select the three dots next to the affected calendar, choose Color, and test a different standard color. New Outlook supports changing both the theme and individual calendar colors. Personalize your Calendar experience
  3. Fully close and reopen new Outlook, then create a test event.
  4. Check the same calendar in https://outlook.live.com/calendar/. If the event and its title appear correctly there, the account has saved the event and the behavior is limited to the Windows app.

If the text remains invisible, please confirm whether the same behavior occurs in Outlook.com and which Outlook theme and calendar color are selected.

I hope changing the theme or calendar color restores the event text.
