Publisher stopped printing in landscape orientation. How to fix?

Try these checks in Publisher and the printer settings:

1. In Publisher, set the publication orientation again:
   • Go to Page Design.
   • In Page Setup, open Orientation.
   • Select Landscape.
2. Verify the paper setup for the printer:
   • Go to File > Print Setup.
   • Under Paper, confirm the selected paper size is correct for the job.
   • The printer determines which paper sizes it can print on.
3. If printing from File > Print, check the printer’s own settings:
   • Open Printer Properties.
   • In the Layout tab, set Orientation to Landscape.
4. If the publication is smaller than the sheet, confirm Publisher is not using a different print layout:
   • Go to File > Print.
   • Under Settings, verify the selected paper size.
   • Then open Printer Properties and confirm Landscape is selected there as well.
5. If only one page is expected to print in landscape in a multi-page publication, that is not supported in Publisher.
   • Publisher cannot change page size, paper size, or orientation for individual pages in a multiple-page publication.
   • To mix portrait and landscape pages, create separate publications and assemble the printed output manually.

If the printer still ignores landscape, the issue is likely in the printer or driver handling rather than the publication layout. In Windows printing, portrait is the default orientation, and landscape handling depends on printer support.
