Dear Microsoft Support / Licensing Team,

I would like to request your assistance to clarify my Microsoft product entitlements and licensing rights, as the information shown in my account does not match what I was informed at the time of purchase.

When I sign in and open “Your products”, I see two products listed under my account:

  1. Office LTSC Standard 2024
  2. Visual Studio Professional 2026

However, the seller/reseller only confirmed that I purchased Office LTSC Standard 2024. Could you please confirm whether I am legally entitled to use Visual Studio Professional 2026 under my account? If it is not included in my purchase, please advise why it appears in “Your products” and what I should do to avoid any licensing/compliance issues.

Additionally, I installed Office LTSC Standard 2024 on one computer, but that computer has suffered serious hardware failure and can no longer be used. Please confirm whether I am allowed to install and activate Office LTSC Standard 2024 again on a replacement device, and what the correct process is for reassignment/reactivation (including any steps required to deactivate the old installation or reset activation).

Could you please advise whom I may contact for assistance? I would appreciate the email address for Microsoft’s Sales team, as this matter involves certain legal/compliance considerations.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]

Dear Nguyễn Văn Âu (GP9.AuNV),

Based on the image, your Microsoft 365 Admin Center currently shows both Office LTSC Standard 2024 and Visual Studio Professional 2026 as active software products under your organization's account, with a purchased quantity of 1 for each product.

However, neither the Admin Center display nor the screenshot alone can definitively confirm your contractual entitlement to use Visual Studio Professional 2026. The authoritative source is the original purchase record, invoice, licensing agreement, or the reseller's records. If your reseller only confirmed the purchase of Office LTSC Standard 2024, I recommend contacting the reseller and requesting:

  • A copy of the original order or invoice.
  • Confirmation of all products included in the purchase.

Regarding reinstallation rights for Office LTSC Standard 2024, Office LTSC 2024 is a volume-licensed, per-device product. Since your original computer has experienced a hardware failure, you should typically be able to install and activate Office LTSC Standard 2024 on a replacement device. If the previous device is no longer operational, no additional deactivation steps may be possible, but the exact reassignment rights depend on your licensing channel and agreement.

Additionally, because your inquiry involves product entitlements, license reassignment rights, and compliance considerations, we recommend contacting Microsoft Volume Licensing Support for an authoritative review of your licensing records and purchase history. They can help verify whether Visual Studio Professional 2026 is included under your organization's entitlements and provide guidance regarding Office LTSC Standard 2024 reinstallation and activation rights after hardware failure. You can reach them through: Contact volume licensing support

I hope this helps clarify the situation. Greatly appreciate again for your patience and understanding.

You have to validate this with your reseller.

There have been other post that there is a special SKU sold in Vietnam (but its not the same as yours) that is cut from a Visual Studio subscription (so contains Pro Plus and possibly VS) and is a genuine product

2021 English APAC EM Medialess
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5949814/is-office21proplusmsdnr-retail-valid-for-business

There also seems to be a 2024 English APAC EM Medialess, which features either the home, and home & business options. This version might also be cut from a Visual Studio image, and hence includes VS as part of the install.

It could be possible, but it could also be possible you were sold a bootleg version of visual studio that contains Pro Plus.

Best to check with your reseller.
