Capturing audio, video, and screen content from Teams meetings for later review or sharing
Dear @Brown Fin
If the hearing was recorded in Microsoft Teams, access to the transcript depends on whether a transcript was generated and whether you have permission to view it. However, please note that if you only attend the meeting, it does not automatically give you access to the transcript. Access is controlled by the meeting organizer and your organization's Teams policies.
In the meantime, first of all, I recommend you heck if a Teams transcript already exists:
- Open the past meeting chat > Select Recap > Select Transcript > If a transcript was created, you should see a transcript and you can select the dropdown arrow next to Download and choose the type of file you want the download to be (depending on permissions).
- For reference: Start, stop, and download live transcripts in Microsoft Teams meetings
However, if you do not see a transcript, either: no transcript was started during the meeting, or you do not have permission to access it.
- Teams live transcripts for meetings with recording and/or transcription are stored in the meeting organizer's OneDrive for Business. In this case, the meeting organizer or people with appropriate permissions can access some meeting artifacts. Therefore, I highly recommend you reach out to the Teams meeting organizer and ask for sharing the transcript.
- For reference: View, edit, and manage video transcripts and captions and permission to download a transcript.
I hope the information shared is helpful. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to your update.
