I removed Family Safety from my child's phone but it still is blocking adding new apps. It says the ask permission to her phone and I can't acess it to give permission which shouldn't even be an issue since i removed it

    Hello MaryChris Stephenson,

Uninstalling the Microsoft Family Safety app from the iPhone does not automatically remove the child from the Microsoft family group or clear the restrictions linked to the child’s account.

Please try the options below and check whether the issue continues:

Please sign in at Microsoft Family Safety using the family organizer account. Select the child, open the Mobile section, and check Apps and games for any remaining blocked apps or limits. You can unblock the apps there, or remove the child from the family group if you no longer want Microsoft Family Safety applied. Only a family organizer can manage these settings.

If the permission request continues after all Microsoft Family Safety restrictions have been removed, the request may be controlled separately by the iPhone’s own parental controls.

On the parent’s iPhone, open Settings > Family, select the child’s name, then select Ask to Buy and turn off Require Purchase Approval. Apple confirms that the family organizer manages this setting from their own device. See Apple’s Ask to Buy guidance (while this is not a Microsoft website, it is the official site of Apple).

Make sure the parent is signed in with the Apple Account that is listed as the Family Organizer, not only the Microsoft account used with Family Safety.

Restart both the parent’s and child’s iPhones after changing the setting, then try downloading a free app again.

If Ask to Buy cannot be switched off, this may be required because of the child’s age and location. In that case, the organizer must approve the request from their own Apple device.

Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps, and I'll be glad to continue looking into it with you.
