Word page cannot, will not open word page

I have a Microsoft Word page on my desktop. It houses my passwords. Clicking to open brings up two white pages, but it does not open the page.

Word experienced an error trying to open this file. Try suggestions

Check file permissions for the document or drive.

Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disc space.

Microsoft appears not to have a human assistant. It's going to give a telephone number; however, it does not.

Seems no way to resolve this situation. Next time, not to purchase Microsoft
