A PC equipped with advanced AI capabilities and Windows Copilot integration
Hi Maeve O'Shea,
What you're seeing is expected on many Copilot+ PCs. While some AI-related apps and models can be removed, several AI components are integrated into Windows and may not provide an uninstall option in Settings. Components such as AI Image Search, AI Image Extraction, AI Semantic Analysis, and AI Settings are part of the Windows AI platform and currently do not have a documented method for complete removal.
As mentioned by AI answer, you can still reduce AI-related functionality by checking Settings > System > AI Components to see whether any installed models offer a Remove option, and by uninstalling the Copilot app if you do not plan to use it.
If your goal is to minimize AI features on the device, focusing on disabling AI-powered experiences and removing any optional AI components that Windows allows you to remove is currently the most practical approach.
I understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, but I hope this helps clarify why those components remain visible and what options are currently available.
Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
