How to get One Drive back on my MAC?

I am a MAC user, paying for OFFICE 365 for many years but suddenly lost the use of ONE DRIVE. I learned that MS no longer supports it with Ventura 13.7.8. One Drive has disappeared from my computer although I am able to continue using WORD and EXCEL and not yet forced to use Apple's PAGES and NUMBERS.

  1. What can I do to get back what Im paying for?
  2. Is there a live person within MS that I can discuss this with? Apple, at least, has live body help.

For Ventura 13.7.8, the practical workaround in the provided guidance is to reinstall a legacy OneDrive build that still works on that macOS version.

  1. Remove the current OneDrive app from Applications if it is still present.
  2. Install the legacy standalone package that community guidance identified for Ventura:
  3. After installation, avoid the Mac App Store version, because it can auto-update to a newer build.
  4. If OneDrive is installed but the cloud icon is missing or it will not start:
    • Open Applications
    • Right-click OneDrive > Show Package Contents
    • Go to Contents > Resources
    • Double-click ResetOneDriveApp.command or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command
    • Start OneDrive again and complete setup
  5. If sync still does not work, unlink and relink the Mac:
    • Click the OneDrive cloud icon in the Menu bar
    • Help & Settings > Preferences
    • Account tab > Unlink this Mac
    • Sign in again

Important details from the available guidance:

  • Office apps such as Word and Excel can continue to work on an unsupported macOS, but updates, including security updates, stop when the macOS version is no longer supported.
  • If OneDrive’s folder path changed on macOS, files may now be under Library > Cloud Storage > OneDrive. If AutoSave stopped working, save the file again to that new OneDrive location using File > Save As.
