On Azure managed grafana, all of sudden data source is not working properly.
It throws error upon selecting data source - Azure Monitor Managed Service for Prometheus
Error message " Could not load plugin. An unknown error occurred while loading the plugin. Please check for updates."
Previously things were working fine. What could be the issue ?

Based on the screenshot shared, it appears that the issue started following a Grafana version update. The error is occurring while Grafana attempts to load the Azure Monitor Managed Service for Prometheus data source plugin. Since the failure occurs during plugin loading, this points more toward a frontend/plugin-loading issue rather than a Prometheus query, authentication, or permissions issue.
Microsoft documentation states that beginning with Grafana 13, Azure-authenticated Prometheus connections use the Azure Monitor Managed Service for Prometheus data source plugin instead of the core Prometheus data source. Existing Azure-authenticated data sources are expected to migrate automatically during upgrades.
Please also verify that the Azure Managed Grafana managed identity has the Monitoring Data Reader role assigned on the Azure Monitor workspace hosting the Prometheus data. While RBAC issues typically result in authentication or query failures rather than plugin-loading failures, validating permissions helps eliminate configuration-related causes.

Does the issue affect all users accessing the Azure Managed Grafana workspace, or only specific users?
Are existing dashboards that use this Prometheus data source still displaying data successfully?
Please confirm the current Azure Managed Grafana version from:
Azure Portal > Azure Managed Grafana > Configuration.

Also, I confirm appropriate RBACs are assigned.
We would like to inform you that a similar issue was previously reported to the Product Group (PG) team. Based on the latest update from the Support Engineer, the Engineering team has implemented a fix for the issue, and the rollout to all regions commenced yesterday.
The Engineering team has recommended monitoring the environment until next Monday to ensure the fix has been fully deployed and the issue has been completely resolved across all regions.
