The Editor function doesn't work in my brand-new, updated version of Microsoft 365 on my Macbook. It took much of the weekend to get the apps to even open (downloading, deleting them all, downloading a second time). Any idea why Editor won't run now?

Further to Jonathan's request, please fully explain what you mean by doesn't work. Details are important but that complaint doesn't provide anything to go on. Specific examples would be most helpful.
Seems to be working today. I already had AutoUpdate on, so I'm not sure what changed. But I'm happy. Thanks for your suggestions.

Which version of macOS are you using?
Was the subscription purchased from the Microsoft Store or the App Store?
I bought 365 it through Amazon, two years ago. This new version I'm running was downloaded Sunday from Microsoft, via a link sent to me by a MS support agent, who guided me through the install after all the updates to my older version kept erroring out. I'm on macOS Tahoe 26.6, as of Sunday. Had been on Sequoia, which MS support said should have been enough to run the 365 version she gave me. But no apps would open after install = no access to any of my files. MS told me to contact Apple support. They of course said upgrade to Tahoe. I did. Still no apps would open, still no file access. Couldn't get any MS help yesterday, so about 30 hrs ago, I chose to delete the new install, download everything again from Microsoft, re-install. Finally, the apps opened. Except I don't have an Editor. :-)
Re "doesnt work": When I click on "Editor" it never loads. I tried closing out of the program, restarting computer. Still doesn't load.
Please install the latest version of the Microsoft AutoUpdate app using the link provided in the following Microsoft Support article:
After updating Office, please check whether the Editor function works correctly.
If the issue persists, please let me know.
Re "not working" - it just doesn't finish loading when I click the editor link, whether in the ribbon across the very top of the window or the ribbon just above the document window.
Check if the problem persists after using Microsoft AutoUpdate.
