Hello Microsoft Rewards Team,

I would like to share my feedback regarding Microsoft Rewards redemption in India.

Many of the most popular gift cards, such as Amazon Gift Cards, have been unavailable in my region for a long time. As a result, I have been unable to redeem the reward points that I have earned, despite checking the redemption page regularly.

I kindly request that you bring back these popular gift card options for users in India. If they are temporarily unavailable, it would also be very helpful if Microsoft could provide an official update or an estimated timeline for when they will be available again. The lack of information makes it difficult for users to decide whether to keep saving points or redeem them for other rewards.

I hope you will consider this feedback and improve the Microsoft Rewards experience for users in India.

Thank you for your time and support.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this and if a certain reward is not available it means that the code for it has became out of stock and therefore there is no exact timeframe on when it will be replenished as this is not usually announced but the rewards team will be doing it’s best for it to be back the soonest on whichever amount will be available. In the meantime, you may continue to do activities and tasks to be able earn and save points to be able to use once the preferred reward that you are after becomes available then you have the points to possibly redeem it more than once.

High Demand

  • As these type of rewards requires a relatively low number of points, it is one of the most redeemed rewards which is causing for it to go out of stock so quickly.

Limited Inventory

  • Due to a limited number of these type of rewards being released. Once the quota is reached for a certain period, then the reward goes out of stock until it is replenished or has become available again.

Regional Availability

  • The availability of these type of rewards might also vary by region. There are certain regions that has a higher demand or has limited availability, which can also result in the out of stock prompt during redemption.

Microsoft Rewards offers and redemption catalogs vary by region, and India is listed as a supported Microsoft Rewards region. Gift cards are not always available, and Microsoft support content states that some gift cards are not always available through Microsoft Rewards and that support cannot provide details on when gift cards will be restocked or removed.

For the India scenario shown, the supported guidance is:

  1. Check the Redeem page regularly to see what is currently available.
  2. Redeem points only in the same region where the Rewards account was signed up.
  3. Do not use a VPN while trying to redeem points.
  4. If a reward is missing or unavailable for an extended period, submit feedback or contact Microsoft Rewards Support through the Rewards Support page.

A concise feedback version suitable for submission:

Microsoft Rewards redemption options in India appear limited, and popular gift cards such as Amazon gift cards are unavailable or not eligible to redeem. Please review gift card availability for India and share official updates when items are temporarily unavailable or removed. Clear communication on availability would help users decide whether to keep saving points or redeem other rewards.
