Windows Update problem

Under settings under about, My PC shows Version 26H2 installed, Windows uipdate keeps trying to install 25H2, Windows update history shows that 25H2 installed successfully on 23 July 2026,

I contacted Microsoft tech support, they accessed my PC and went through the process of reinstalling Windows 11 which failed.

Windows 11 Version 26H2 has not yet been released. If you are seeing that, your computer is running an Insiders release that is still experimental.
