OneNote for iOS still does not support Devanagari MT after latest update

Based on the information you've shared, this does not appear to be a font installation issue on the iPad itself. You indicated that Devanagari MT remains available and functions correctly in Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, and other applications on the same device, while OneNote substitutes a different font when rendering existing content.

Another important detail is that the same notebook displays correctly on a device running an older version of OneNote, while the issue occurs after updating OneNote on the affected iPad. From a troubleshooting perspective, this suggests the notebook content itself is likely intact and that the behavior may be related to a change in how the newer OneNote version handles or renders the font.

The impact is also significant because the issue affects existing notebooks and previously created content, not only newly created notes. As you described, font substitution can alter spacing and layout, making established notes more difficult to read and edit.

To help narrow down the scope of the issue, I would recommend collecting the following information:

• OneNote version and build number on the affected device.
• iPadOS version.
• Confirmation whether the issue occurs in all notebooks that use Devanagari MT or only specific notebooks.
• Screenshots comparing the same page on:
  • the affected device, and
  • a device where the older OneNote version still renders correctly.

Given that the behavior appears after an application update and affects existing notebook rendering, I recommend opening a Microsoft support request so the issue can be investigated further by the OneNote team.
