To better assist you, could you provide a little more information?
- Is this a personal device or a work/school-managed device?
- Are you being prompted for the BitLocker recovery key at startup?
- When you say "Manage BitLocker" is not opening, do you receive an error message, or does nothing happen?
In the meantime, you can try the following:
- If it's your personal device, check whether your recovery key is stored in your Microsoft account:
If it's a work or school device, contact your IT administrator. The recovery key may be stored in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or Active Directory.
- If Windows still starts normally but the BitLocker management console won't open, you can check BitLocker status from an elevated Command Prompt by running:
- manage-bde -status
If you're locked out of the device and don't have the BitLocker recovery key, Microsoft cannot recover or bypass it. The recovery key is required to unlock the drive.
