Problem installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 (x86) Redistributable on Windows 10

The application keeps asking me to install this, but it won't install. It tells me there's already a version installed, even though the latest version is Microsoft Visual C++ V14 (x64) Redistributable on Windows 10, and the oldest version is 2013 and later. I hope there's a solution to this problem. For your information, I used artificial intelligence to try and solve the issue. I need help.

If the app needs the x86 runtime, having only Microsoft Visual C++ V14 (x64) installed is not enough. The redistributable architecture must match the app’s target architecture.

Use this sequence:

Download the latest supported VC Redist for x86.
Right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.
If setup still fails, check whether a newer x86 runtime is already installed. VC Redist packages don’t install if a more recent version is already present on the machine.
Install all pending Windows Update updates, restart Windows, and try again.
Temporarily disable antivirus or endpoint protection, retry the install, then reenable protection.

If the installer reports that another version is already installed, that usually means one of these conditions:

A newer x86 VC++ runtime is already installed.
The app is incorrectly prompting for installation even though the runtime is present.
The installer is failing for a permissions or cache issue.

To verify installation problems, collect the VC Redist logs:

Download the Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET Log Collection Tool.
Run Collect.exe.
Extract %TEMP%/vscollect.zip.
Look in the Temp folder for files named like dd_vcredist_<arch>_yyyyMMddHHmmss.
Search the logs for Error, Failed, or System Error.

Common return codes:

5 = access denied. Temporarily disable antivirus/firewall/group policy interference, then retry. If needed, run as administrator.
32 = file locked. Close running apps and restart the PC.
1603 = generic install failure. The log is required to identify the cause.

Important points:

Multiple Visual C++ Redistributable versions can be installed side by side.
The 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 redistributables share the same v14 runtime line.
Do not download old installers from non-Microsoft sites.
