Outlook on Mini Mac won't stay open after latest update to Office 16.113

I understand Outlook began closing within seconds immediately after the Office 2024 update, while version 16.112 continues to work normally. The successful rollback is useful because it makes the newer Outlook build the main point to investigate.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot examine the crash report or update channel directly.

For now, continue using version 16.112, but avoid leaving Office updates disabled longer than necessary because updates can include security improvements. Please also open another Office app, select Help > Check for Updates, and check whether Microsoft AutoUpdate shows Current Channel, Current Channel (Preview), or Beta Channel.

Microsoft’s public Current Channel history currently lists version 16.111.2 as the latest release, so please confirm the complete Outlook version and build shown under Outlook > About Outlook. Release notes for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn 

If Microsoft AutoUpdate offers version 16.113 again and Outlook closes after installing it, contact Microsoft Support as follows:

1. Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support  
2. In the search bar provided on the page, type "Outlook issue" and press Enter.  
3. Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.  
4. Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.  
5. When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".  
6. For the category, choose "Outlook".  
7. Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".  
8. Confirm your personal email when prompted - this is the email Microsoft will use to communicate with you during and after the support session.  
9. Explain your situation clearly: Be concise but provide all the relevant details.    
10. Provide the complete Outlook version and build, Microsoft AutoUpdate channel, macOS version, and the macOS crash report. Also explain that Outlook works after restoring version 16.112, while the other Office applications continue to open normally.

This will allow Support to determine whether the build needs further investigation.
