Dear Microsoft Certification Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I recently passed the AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions certification exam. However, I am unable to locate or download my certification certificate from the Microsoft Learn Certification Dashboard.

I have verified that I am signed in with the correct Microsoft account, but the certificate is not appearing under my certifications.

Please help me verify my certification status and guide me on how to access or download the certificate.

Details:

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue at the earliest.

Thank you for your support.

Hi,

You need to have Active Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification or Active Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) certification in addition to passing AZ-400 exam in order to earn DevOps Engineer Expert certification.

I recommend you pass AZ-104 exam since AZ-204 is retiring July 31st 2026. Once you pass AZ-104 both certifications will show up.

Please click Accept Answer if the above was helpful.

Thanks.

AZ-400 by itself does not grant a certification certificate. It is the required exam for Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, but that certification also requires an active prerequisite certification.

To earn the certificate, both of these must be true:

    1. Pass AZ-400.
    2. Hold an active prerequisite certification such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate.

If the prerequisite certification is not active, the certificate will not appear in the Certification Dashboard.

To check and access the certificate:

    1. Open the Certification Dashboard.
    2. In the Certificates section, select View Certificates.
    3. If the certification has been awarded, it will appear there and can be downloaded.
    4. The Transcript section can also be used to verify earned credentials.

If AZ-400 has been passed and an active prerequisite certification is already present, but the certification still does not appear:

    1. Confirm the credential requirements on the certification details page.
    2. Check that the correct Learn profile is being used.
    3. Contact Microsoft Credentials Support for assistance with missing credentials.

Also note: if a certification requires two or more exams, the certificate is not issued until the final requirement is completed.
